The higher up the hill, the higher the price
Dunsford Place and Cleveland Walk, with views back over the city, sold for medians of £1,892,500 and £1,729,000. Powlett Road, on the flat near the bottom of the hill, sold for a median of £602,500. Same postcode, three times the price.
Prices have held up: the last twelve months' median of £1,125,000 is 6% above the year before, from a similar number of sales.
The honest caveat: a median from three or four sales can swing a long way on one big house, so treat the smaller streets as a guide, not a valuation. For your own house, condition, garden and parking matter more than the street average.
Detached, semi or terraced
Semis and terraces sell for much the same in Bathwick, because many of the terraces are large Georgian and Victorian townhouses.
The Pulteney streets (BA2 4)
Great Pulteney Street and the streets between the river and the canal sit in postcode sector BA2 4. 17 house sales here, with a median of £700,000: mostly smaller Georgian and Victorian terraces. Most homes on Great Pulteney Street itself are flats: see Bathwick flat prices.
Other Pulteney streets: Bridge Lock Mews, Gerrard Buildings, Great Pulteney Street, Pulteney Avenue, Pulteney Terrace, Raby Place, Rennie Close, Sydney Mews.
